So, you want to keep your Wedding Day intimate and relaxed but still full of meaning and fun.
Many modern couples just like you are looking for alternative ways to have their special day and the joys of a small and relaxed wedding are plain to see.
Intimate Weddings and Elopements are a very popular alternative for couples who don’t want ‘the big wedding’.
One of the many considerations for couples right now may be cost. We can’t ignore the fact that the recent cost-of-living increases will affect the price of all goods and services.
But there are also many other reasons why small and relaxed weddings have been gaining popularity in recent years. Let’s have a look at them ……
Elopement
Elopement Wedding Ceremonies are exciting, fun, romantic and unforgettable. What could be more romantic than running away together for a secret wedding ceremony with just the two of you?
Every Elopement Wedding is as individual as you. In fact, individuality is absolutely celebrated. Your wedding day is the perfect time to celebrate the real you and to do things your own way. You don’t have to follow rules or make anyone happy except yourselves.
An elopement wedding with just you two, the Officiant, and usually a photographer to capture it all, is such a wonderfully romantic way to make your commitment to each other.
You’ll have your very own Personalised Wedding Ceremony, written just for you. It will be all about you and your love story. And you will write your own Wedding Vows (with help if needed).
Secret Elopement Wedding has a very special romantic and relaxed atmosphere, as you only have each other to think about and no-one else to please. Those planned and carried out in secret have and extra element of excitement. It’s your special secret!
You can Elope and have your secret ceremony anywhere you want it. And we have some wonderful places here in the UK.
What about a Wild Elopement? It’s such a special Ceremony, under the open sky. Perhaps at dawn or sunset. On a beautiful beach, on a dramatic clifftop, by a gorgeous lake or waterfall or in a woodland glade or forest setting.
Sharing your Wedding Vows with each other and no-one else.
Micro and Tiny Weddings
A micro wedding usually has up to 20 guests in total, and a tiny wedding up to 50 guests. They are more informal and won’t need as much planning, so they are much less stressful for you.
Modern couples like you are loving the relaxed and intimate atmosphere of a smaller wedding, because it allows you more time to spend with your special guests and close family members, instead of trying to share yourselves between 100’s of guests.
You’ll also save money. You can really cut back on bridesmaids and groomsmen. Think of the savings on dresses, suits, shoes, make-up and hair and of course flowers and thank you gifts.
Think of the of the fun you’ll have deciding where to spend this saving! Will you go all out on a dream honeymoon destination, or spend it setting up your new home? Or maybe you want to upgrade your venue choice, food and drinks supplies. Or really go to town on your entertainment.
Beautiful Venues
There are so many beautiful venues to choose from for smaller and more intimate wedding settings here in the UK. Imagine wonderful country settings like barn conversions, historic homes or a converted industrial building brought bang up to date.
I’d love to share with you some of the wonderful wedding venues in the Heart of England area. Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and West Midlands. Follow the links below to find out more.
Outdoor Ceremony
An outdoor or semi-outdoor venue is fantastic, because it gives you the opportunity to share your Wedding Vows under the open sky with nature all around you. Whether it’s in a beautiful garden (perhaps your own), in an orchard, on top of a hill overlooking a spectacular vista, on a beach, or virtually anywhere you choose, it’s a very special experience.
As a Celebrant, I can officiate your Wedding Ceremony wherever you want it. There are NO RULES.
The only limit is your imagination and the land-owner’s permission of course. An outdoor wedding ceremony is very special indeed, and a tipi wedding gives you the outdoors-indoors experience that many couples love.

Celebrant Ceremonies
Your Wedding Ceremony and your Wedding Vows are what your Wedding Day is all about. A Celebrant Ceremony is a totally personal ceremony that’s written just for you. It’s all about you and your love and tells your love story.
Writing your own Wedding Vows is such a wonderful thing to do. I help all my couples to write their own Wedding Vows, and speaking from the heart on your Wedding Day to tell your partner what you really love about them is the most emotional and joyful part of your Wedding Day.
A Celebrant Ceremony is a truly modern wedding ceremony for couples who want something very personal to them, and you can include your children and family members, friends, even your dog in your Ceremony. Anything is possible!
Of course, you can also have a ceremony that follows a more traditional format too – it’s all entirely up to you.
But is it a ‘real’ wedding?
It’s definitely your real wedding because it’s all about you and your love story. You’ll also be exchanging Wedding Vows that you’ve written yourselves. What could be more real than that?
You’ll do the legal paperwork at a Register Office, usually a few days before and it. It usually takes just 30 minutes and costs £60 – £160 depending on your Local Authority.
Once the legal paperwork is done you will then enjoy your real Wedding Ceremony celebrating your love for each other with something totally personal, and all about you and your love story. Exchanging your personal Wedding Vows while your friends and family take an active part in your Ceremony too if you wish. Is that real enough for you!
