Welsh Borders, Myths and Legends

The views surrounding the farm are just stunning.  The Black Mountains are the perfect backdrop for those who genuinely appreciate our natural landscape.  Myths and legends abound in Wales and the legend  about the ‘Lady of the Lake’ in the Black Mountains is a very apt story for newly-wed couples if you’d like to look it up.

Fairy-tale Wildflower Meadows

This fairy-tale wedding venue is simply perfect for all types of relaxed and country style weddings.  It’s set among 70 acres of green hills, wildflower meadows, orchards and woodland, with a waterfall and streams running through it all.  Offering so many different photo opportunities in this wonderful spot surrounded by nature.  You’ll be in your own Fairy-tale!

A very special place

If you’d like to have your ceremony indoors at this relaxed country wedding venue, the gorgeous 17th Century oak framed barn is at the heart of the farm and has been lovingly restored and can host up to 120 guests for your Wedding Ceremony.  It’s the perfect canvas for you to dress in your own style.  It really is an incredibly special place to have your Fairy-tale Wedding Ceremony and your celebrations.  I’d love to create a wedding ceremony all about you and your love story in this beautiful space.

Fairytale Wedding Ceremony Outdoors

Or you can have your Ceremony outdoors in the wonderful wildflower meadows that surround this beautiful place with the stunning foothills of the Black Mountains as your backdrop.  Maybe you’d like to say your Wedding Vows and Promises under the old oak tree by the river that runs through the farm.

Relaxed Country Weddings in Nature

I absolutely love creating and officiating Wedding Ceremonies wherever you choose in the natural landscape.  Being outdoors surrounded by all the natural elements and beauty of a location like this is awe inspiring.  This gorgeous welsh fairytale wedding venue is perfect for relaxed country weddings and an amazing place to connect with nature as you tell your partner what it is that you love about him/her and tie the knot and exchange your rings.

Guest Camping Field

You can stay over in the farmhouse and your guests can camp in the purpose-built camping-field, with all the usual amenities on hand for a comfortable festival style stay.  The perfect place to make a long weekend of it with your guests.

You’ll no doubt want something a bit more special for you and your new husband/wife to stay overnight.  If you want to stay on-site with all of your guests why not hire a glamping pod or bell tent and stay in comfort and style.  If you prefer to have a bit more distance and privacy on your wedding night then there’s lots of options.  The Farmhouse itself is perfect or for a little more distance Swallow Cottage is a short walk away (less than 10 minutes).

Natural Eco-System at this Family Farm

Lower House Farm is not just a wedding venue – it’s a family run farm.  Native breed livestock live happily outdoors on the mature rich pastureland, with minimal intervention and minimal impact on the environment.  This means that the natural ecosystems and other wildlife on the farm continue to thrive.

Food and Drink are at the heart of everything they do at Lower House Farm. Your menu will be mostly sourced from their own farm produce which means it will be fresh and sustainable produce of the highest quality.
